I have read a lot of material on the litronic upgrade, but simply cannot afford ~$2K for headlights. For my Audi, short of HID's, you could get euro lenses for reasonable money - a marked improvement over DOT's. Are the euro spec non-litronic lenses different from the US spec non-litronics? If so, can these be retrofitted at a reasonable price?

Although it still may be too rich for your blood .... you do not have to spend $2K for the litronic retrofit kit. Shop around. I got mine, Porsche OEM, from Brandywine Porsche for $1099.95.
