No problem! Glad to have you along again.. and thanks for bringing along a couple of friends!

I'm looking forward to the drive.

I'll admit that I'm torn on this one. The drive is incredibly pretty right now, but will have a different feel from the last one... the foliage makes the roads a little more claustrophobic and the turns a little more blind... that in turn will slow us down just a touch. Additionally, the reverse direction has more hill climbs. A nice drive, but different. Not sure how people will respond to this one.

... so the indecision is whether we run the same direction as the last time, or the reverse direction as I'd planned. We'll see. I still have a few days to decide.

My vote is for the same direction. The front end/midesection is the better part of the drive, rather have that before the pitstop, IMO

The route we did last time was excellent. It's a safe bet ;-)

I'm okay with that as long as everyone else is.

Sorry that you cannot make it.

It's probably the case that the shipping company is waiting for a truck that's heading this way... cheaper for them.

Hi,

My lovely Targa is still in the garage.....but it has been sold to a lucky owner in Boston. I am not going to risk bringing it out. It is being picked up next week after the holiday.

Ahh, I see. Oh well. Maybe you can make the run in July.... if I get my act together and write a new route.

I'm also OK with running the route in the same direction. If we had run it 10 times in the same direction and were bored with it, I'd suggest running it backwards. But that's not the case. See you tomorrow!

P.S. A Porsche 968 will be joining us tomorrow.

Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow. The Cayman will be represented!

What's all this talk about driving the route in reverse? Top speeds are much higher when using forward gears...

Cool! I forgot to post on the 968 board and wondered if you would bring anyone along.

Yeah, the cops are going to give each of you a ticket as you leave the parking lot. It will save them a lot of time and effort... but the good news is that it will also give you a "free pass" to drive like a "bat out of Hell" the rest of the day!
