Default Battery replacement how-to?

After taking off the +/- cables, I noticed the stock battery was still tied down somewhere...is this from that plate sitting on the left (passenger side) of the battery? I can't tell if it's actually securing the battery or not but can only assume it is. If that's the case...I need to find my extension!

yes of course it is, do you think they would just let it bounce around in there.

^ I'm aware it would be secured by some sort of tie-down...I just wasn't sure if it was only that copper plate holding it...it looks like only a slight edge of that even touches the battery.

Be careful of this job if you are not fully trained on the proper procedure. You can do a lot of damage to (your) a late model car. It simply cannot cost all that much to get your battery replaced.

s14, I just removed the battery. I removed the screw and removed the brace that holds the edge. I also removed the 4 screws holding the tray and pulled it out with the tray. I had to unscrew the plastic cover on the side to access the screws. Once the corner brace is removed the battery slides to expose the 4 screws.

I am looking fot the Bosch battery from Pep boys as I am planning to just drop it in place without the need to drill any holes in the tray.

Hope this helps....

LOL...guys, I wasn't at home so didn't have my tools to just start working at it. I took one glance and only noticed the copper plate and wanted to make sure there wasn't anything else holding it so asked you guys...

Ended up just doing it on Thurs and real simple...interesting to see they use that plate more as a place holder versus a tie-down...

Thanks...
