Default Headlight Adj

I have the factory Litronic headlights on my 2001 C4, but even after doing the self adjustment I feel that they are still pointing too high. Every now and again someone flashes me because I guess im blinding them.

I have even gone so far and put my 2 biggest friends in the car while doing the adjustment hoping that their weight will point the nose in the air and make the light adjust down more.

Is there anything else that I can do, or do I need to hit up the dealer on this

Were the other drivers who flashed you driving Porsches? They might have just been saying "hi."

I usually double check my headlight level when I follow another car,
If the top of my beams end just short of the rear windshield, I'm fine.
There's nothing more annoying than the guys behind you shining their lights into your cabin and your headliner is all lit up!

If you are doing it yourself, I think there is a diagram with specific heights and widths for the positioning of the beams, together with distance of your car to the wall, etc. I don't have it but have seen it somewhere.

Or you could adjust it with another car parked in front of you and have your beams shine just below the rear windshield.

If you find that diagram, please remember to post it back here. I'm dying to adjust my beams because I'm convinced that they are pointed too low.

So then I will assume that there is a way to manually adjust my factory installed Litronic headlights

Up and down yes, side to side no....unless you break the blue plastic release covers and prove that you've' been busy with the headlights.

Would you mind posting a link to a good instruction on adjusting up and down? I'm convinced mine are too low for a performance car.
