I just got a driver and passenger set of RennLine track mats for my 2000 996. I won't be tracking this baby anytime soon, and really just needed the driver mat to cover up where a previous bonehead owner didn't use floormats and tore the living crap out of the pedal mat and destroyed part of the factory carpet. These track mats are a cool mod to begin with and nicely cover captain bonehead's screwup.

What is the best method for securing these to the floor permanently?
Is there any electrical I need to worry about under the driver or passenger side footwell carpet?
