Default LSD For Track Use

I have a '99 996C2 w/limited slip. I'm tracking the car for the first time next week-end @Pocono. Owners manual says very little about the limited slip option. Must the traction control be turned off to "engage" the limited slip?

LSD is there at all times. However, good idea to turn off TC on the track.

You will engage the limited slip when you step on the gas pedal real hard. It's a big help if the track is slippery or you have a lot of HP.
