I've decided to update my 996 narrow body rear bumper with the turbo version. Has anyone done this? I'm wondering if I should just buy one of those on ebay that are already made to fit, or just buy a genuine and get it worked on??....I'm sure it's been covered before, but I can't seem to do a search ....any avdvice will be appreciated.
thanks
I think Newport996 has the turbo bumper. PM him for the shop that did the work. Since you are in Pasadena, I think the shop he used is just down the 10 to Culver City.
I had an oe TT rear modded and installed on my car. It's not that difficult, seeing as you're in Cali., I suggest contacting the shop that did Newports.
From what I've read the replca's that are made to fit the NB car don't fit very well and require a lot of modding. Better to go with the oe.
newport has the OEM one..... he has a shop that does a lot of these from what he tells me.... looks fantastic....... but it does require them to cut the original giving that the original is wider then our narrow body........ Has anyone ever done a REAR WIDE BODY CONVERSION? i think the wide body look is sexy as hell........
Yes...as said I have the OEM TT bumper now...I HAD the fiberglass aftermarket TT "LOOK" bumper before...The OEM bumper is much nicer and looks and fits far better....Culver City Customs has done a TON of them....call Raj at 310-202-1555....mine came out to be cheaper than a aftermarket bumper....

YES....my shop has done lots of them....Here is one they did....I think its a + 4 inch rear...2 inches wider than a TT or C4S....thay can also do the standart TT or C4S rear as well.....This one is a 99 with a supercharger...I think its got 13" rears....
