This is free money to the dealer for any work they do, so I suspect they would be pretty thorough with the inspection.

My Targa just came off warranty and I had my dealer do the PPI equivalent a few days prior. Cost ~$175. Like you, I'm not a believer in extended warranties, or most insurance for that matter. Then again, I'm the guy that told my wife we don't need pet insurance, only to rack up >$10K in vet bills on a chronically ill dog. It's a gamble either way. Back to the point, though, do the PPI...it'll make you feel better going into your non-warranty period.

i was wondering where you 've been those days.
i wouldn't get ext. warranty,
i would send the car for a service, and have dealer check everything again to make sure everything is good.

Did the 2-year coverage for RMS #1 extend beyond the original warranty date?

I for the past few months I'd been working a studio project with an artist from the UK, really long days... yada yada

Now I have an ear infection for the past two weeks and haven't been able to do any audio work, so I have some more free time now.

Yes, they have two albums released. I'm work with John Garrison the lead singer/songwriter on his new solo CD.

And yes, it's cold play, radio head like - just better

Actually that is NOT correct. Anything replaced under the 4/50 warranty is warranted for ONLY the period of the 4/50 regardless when it was replaced/repaired. If you had the RMS done on the last day of your 4/50 warranty and it went the following week after your 4/50 expired you would NOT be covered. The 2 year warranty is for those outside the 4/50. However, with that said, the chance that you will get something "goodwilled" is high if it is that close to the warranty (4/50) expiration. It is important to know the FACTS before quoting that something is/isn't covered.

Taken directly from the PCNA website.......

The warranty periods begin on the day of delivery to the customer. The following periods apply:

4 years warranty for all new vehicles;
2-year warranty for genuine Porsche parts, exchange parts and accessories, which are used or sold outside of warranty work. The warranty period for Porsche parts which are used in connection with warranty work ends contemporaneously with the warranty period for the purchased item which has become defective;
3 years for the paintwork;
10-year long-life warranty against rust holes in the bodyshell. (please refer to the conditions in the Warranty and Maintenance handbook)
Porsche Approved Warranty is 2 years / 100,000 miles, once the vehicle is outside the original vehicle warranty period.

Warranty can be claimed from any Porsche partner across the world.

Excellent! - really like Too Blind..., less complex yet gives more

For those that like this style of music, this one slipped under the mainstream radar and is worth a purchase off Amazon or iTunes.

Not seen the other album?

I'll look forward to the solo effort - any release date yet?

We finished tracking 22 songs and have narrowed down the list to 10 songs that will make the CD.

We will start mixing the project as soon as I can hear again

Right now the guess would be around June 1st or so. I'll post some songs up as soon as they are ready for primetime to give people a little sample
