Per 944 and 944 Turbo........lots of fun....very respectable 2nd Pcar.
But....... if you have more than one Pcar inyour garage.......absolutely no doubt, one needs to be a 993.

Do you like the 928 ? I always did have an interest in them and it may be a good first Porsche for my wife, although I always liked the look of a 944 Turbo as well.
Another great thing about them is that, properly prepped and with sufficient weight stripped out, the car can perform nearly as well on a track as it does on the autobahn.

I now have the 996, 968 Cab, and a 911SC that will afford me a project a week for the rest of my life if I can afford it. Now I have to find that 928 and decide which one to sell.

I like the idea of a 928 S4 or GTS but am starting to think that a 2nd should be a cab if the first isn't - thinking back to the purchase of my current (and 1st P-car) , to cab or not was the big question. My current non-cab finally won out b/c of its options, overall package, price and of course, it was sitting in front of me. I can be impulsive.

Having had three 944's and a 924, they were cheap to drive in a relative sense. I'd stay away from the "S" models-too much of a chance for timing bwelt failure. They were good cars to drive, and it allowed to to stay in the Porsche World.
Since I've had my fill of 944's however, I'd probably get a late 60's 911, or even a 912. We came within 30 minutes of owning a '69 912 that would never be a concours car, but was still solid, for about 2/3 of its value. Someone beat us to it, and wrote a check on the spot.
