Great story. If you bought the car in Santa Barbara, you probably paid about 10 grand too much, but it's all good!

You are about right but the story is worth the extra $10K (more like $3K).
Here is my proof. This is when I drove it back to the campsite and is exactly how I was dressed when I bought the car. Only one very desperate salesman took me seriously (he got the sale). The camper in the background is my idea of "camping" at El Capitan.
