Default anyone know this car?

It's a silver 2000 996 C2.....in Jupiter Florida.
Good track car maybe...no affiliation

Thought I'd ask around...it's just over the price I want to spend..and I need a daily driver.

I'd use it as a daily driver considering it's already been driven hard, it's not like it could hurt it.

This might be an ok street/track car but it's not even close to being a developed PCA club racer or even a dedicated track car. Unless it has a bunch more stuff that isn't listed I don't think it's worth the $33k. At least no as a base for a track car.

I wonder if he's done mods to the oil system since he's running Hoosiers?

It looks like a fun car ......

PSS9's and slicks do NOT make a track beast or as the seller calls it a "mini cup car"

BTW, Orbit has a great reputation so the work that has been done is likely top notch. The mini cup car comment it just plain silly.

It does have the 3rd radiator and all the safety equipment for a good DE car, but why does it have the different nose and the 3rd radiator....was that from a "light impact", or is the radiator a good upgrade and the nose just evens out the rear downforce from that wing?

It isn't a all out race car with it's full interior, but I'd like it for a driver/play car.

A third radiator is a very common upgrade. Especially in warmer areas. I'd guess the front was added for it's aero effect. Frankly I think the cup wing on a 300 hp car will do more harm than good but who knows. If he really runs 2:25s at Sebring he's pretty fast. I suspect he's exaggerating a little although Rich (bluemax) ran 2:26s in his 3.4 at the club race.

The safety equipment is pretty lame. The Porsche rollbar is more for looks than safety.

Just looking at the photos, I really doubt the car weighs 2750. He hasn't even removed the carpet.

As for using it on the street, I'd feel like an idiot with that big wing but to each his own.

From the last auction's questions i got this info:
It has around 12,000 miles with a new engine and trans...not rebuilt. Only about 5,000 of the miles were street miles. The person bought it with 2,800 miles.
So a new drivetrain is good, but how much stress can the body take.....it's seen more track time than...."fill in comment here"!

Yeah...the wing might be overkill for a street car...but e-bay can find something more normal to replace it.
