I heard a rumour that they had lots of "windshield" issues. Wavy glass or something like that....

I test drove it when it first came on the market a few years ago. A nice car that's now available at bargain prices. As others have said, the depreciation drop probably hasn't stopped, especially since it's no longer being sold in the U.S.

Beautiful car. VW's mistake was slathering their logo all over the car. The VW symbol should have been far more discrete ands subdued. I never quite understood the logic behind this.

Of the photos, the following one caught my eye. Something seems a bit off between the rear quarter panel and the door, colorwise. Is it only me?

Driven the car and its a great car. As far as it being like a A8 its not the same platform made with aluminum, it does share powertrain and interior bits. As for whats its worth that is up to you. If you can get a BMW,MB, or Audi for $5k more of the same year I would rather do that due to the fact that the depreciation of thoes would be less.

It is a nice car and is more popular in Germany. I just wonder when the US prices will drop enough for the Europe market to start buying and shipping back. I know when I bough my used Porsche about 3 years ago it was cheaper for me to by a US model and ship to Germany. I guess my point here is that values can only drop so low before the Euro buyers arrive.

The back seat is heaven. I should buy one for the family and have the wife drive me around.

If you can really find an A8 in similar condition for only 5k more, I would get it. Much more fun to drive being that it's almost 800LBS lighter and you'll get better fuel economy.
