Aero I chin spoiler or Aero II cup spoiler feedback requested
I'm looking at either the Aero I or Aero II cup front splitter for my Aero I car.
Naturally the Aero I splitter is the better fit as it's the factory piece for my car but I've also seen threads where people have successfully retro-fitted the Cup II splitter on the early bumper with success and without looking out of place.
I'm wondering if anyone has experience with either and or both and how well they work for keeping air out from under the car. The reason I ask is because the Aero I piece is very subtle and I'm curious if it really does nearly as good of a job as the cup spoiler.
My main worry with the cup spoiler is tearing it off pulling into my driveway!

There are actually two different lips for Mk II.
996-505-986-02 $162.45
996-505-986-92 $230.39
The -92 is larger. I think this is sometimes called the GT2 lip. Not sure which one is showing on the silver car.

-92 is the STANDARD splitter on the GT3 front. Alot of us over on the GT3 board have replaced it with the RS/CUP splitter (-91) which wraps around the side a bit better. Actually alot better.

Holy crap is all I can say! Let's just say it feels like I go from a 4-cyl engine to a V12TT. It is that drastic. It has a strong pull ALL the way to redline and the sound of that motor from 6-8K RPM is just absolutely addicting and something everybody needs to hear at least once.

You can SC for about $10K. The move to a GT3 motor you will need some serious coin and it will NOT just bolt right up. It would be cheaper to sell you current 996 and then buy a GT3. You can get into a GT3 right now in the mid 70's.

I don't know about that being faster. It is something like a tenth of a second faster 0-60 so nothing that can't be overcome by the BETTER driver. Gotta love the CAB's on a sunny day!
