Xenon upgrade in a 2003 996??
Has anyone completed the upgrade to a 2003 996? My Targa has H7's and although I just got the car and don't really know how good or how bad the H7's are, I know that I would rather have the Xenons. Is it worth the upgrade, or just leave well enough alone?

Its about $1,000 for new Xenon lights....for me its a BIG difference. Adding it to a car without it originally will negate the self leveling feature...not that big of a deal....

Personally, I always check off the HID option on cars I purchase. Those lights are really easy to get use to and rely on. Not just because they're bright but because of their color spectrum, it's just much easier at night on unlit streets. You will be able to see much better.
So, I think the upgrade is worth it, but I would recommend going with Porsche parts and not an aftermarket system. You get auto-leveling with the stock system.

No you dont get auto leveling on the stock system if the car was not built with Litronics from the factory...the auto leveling sensors are built into the frame and CAN NOT be added afterwards as it would require stripping the car down to the frame and then rebuilding it....I was referring to the stock parts, NOT the aftermarket kit with bulbs and balasts you install in your existing light housings...I would not recommend those....
