Cool 996 Aero with Volk Wheels

Hey Rennlisters,

I did a quick photoshop job and wanted to share. The photo is crappy cuz its from my phone, I will get better res photos once I wash the car.

the wheels are Volk Racing TE-37 in Gloss Black. I plan to get the Evoms carbon smoked tail lights as well, they aren't that dark though.

don't do the smoked tail lights, it looks so "rice" and I would go with mat black rims!

DeAd-EyE - I attempted to make it appear to be 19" as I have 18" wheels currently and just made them a little bigger. I think it would be an accurate p-chop to simulate what 19"s would look like

adybuncio - yes, it is THEhotel valet parking garage. I saw the new Audi R8 prototype too and took some pics while I was in Vegas if you guys are interested, I posted them on 6speed

Porsche_Smile - yes volk makes the TE-37s in 5x130 only at the moment. Iim trying to see what I can do getting a custom set made for me. Takes about 3 months.

Mr. C4 - they are carbon on the top and smoked on the bottom, look like this:

I think they are pretty cool, only concern I have is that it covers the blinker part so people can't see your turn signals? I have to verify with evoms

more wheel photochops to come...

If you really want to do the tinted rear lights, save your $$$ and have your local paint shop shoot them with a smoke transparent paint. This is exactly what the Evo lights are but at $495.-

STRASPEC: the only problem with the wheels you photochopped is that they arn't available with the concave centers for porsche, they have flat centers.

any chance you could photoshop one without the concave centers please?

here's an arctic silver car to work with too (Johannes's GT3)

I know I plan to try and get a custom set one-of made for me because it gives an illusion the rim is larger than it actually is. I had the straight TE37s on my evo and even though they were 18s they looked really small.

Johannes - my friend does the smoked tail lights for cheap, but I wanted the carbon part, not sure if its worth the 400 bucks though. I'm shopping around for some reasonable red and white rear lights also in the meantime.

Hope you don't mind Johannes, I've always loved your car, before I got my 996. I actually saved this picture long time ago helped me fall in love with the mkI aero.

Dead Eye - here's a quick p-chop job. I hope you can get the picture. Right now they only make 18" and 20" for porsche. I'll call them and see what they can do.
