Default Changed Shifter **** now the Check engine light is on?

I need your advise was this a coincidence or could I have done something wrong while swaping the shifter out??.

What would cause the Check engine light to go on. Is there something I could look for before it goes off to service?

Thanks in advance

Shifter **** sensor probably got triggered - it's a taste sensor that helps to stop Porsche owners putting skull-heads and 8-***** onto their gear shifters.

There's a second sensor on the rear-view mirror that detects fuzzy dice or beads...

Excellent...and funny. No relationship of shift **** to CEL. Get the codes read and post em. If you don't have a code reader, try autozone before you do the stealer so you know what's up (unless you trust/have a good relationship with the stealer). We can help from there.

I would add some white wall tires and curb feelers! Nevermind stay with the carbon fiber.
