Thanks! I was undecided between the two, but have opted to go back to the OEM wheels for now. There just so damn heavy! The RG5s are feather weights compared to the BBS OEM Sports. I would keep the RG5s, but I've just had too many "mesh" wheels in my stable.

I'll ship them to you for free, as long as you live in the U.S.!

Let me guess.... you also count the number of expansion joints in the highway every trip to and from work!

Why would you "change things up a bit" - those wheels are the bomb.

It's just a matter of preferrence. I'm just not that fond of the traditional "mesh" design anymore and prefer the spoke look as with the OEM Sports.

This doesn't look too bad either....

I never had any problems with the Champions affecting the ride quality or handling of the car. In fact, the car sat about .5" higher with the 19s, which gave it just a tad bit more ground clearence. As I've stated before, if it were purely a choice of ride quality and performance I would stay with the Champions or switch to another reputable wheel due to the reduced weight over the OEM BBS wheels. My decions to downgrade to the 18" OEM Sports was simply due to a preference in the look of the car and a desire to return to the showroom look.

If however, I do decide to upgrade again, it will be to a 19" Fikse, Champion, iForged, Forgeline, DPE or Kinesis forged aluminum wheel. There is a lot of aftermaket wheels on eBay for under $1400 that I would not risk putting on my car. My preferrence is always to stick with reputable manufacturer... IMHO, you get what you pay for.

WHEELS ARE STILL AVAILABLE IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED! OFFERS??

I have decided to sell my Champion RG5 Monolites with new Pirelli P-Zero Rossos. The wheels are in perfect condition (99.9 out of 100) and are forged aluminum with bright polished lip and silver painted classic mesh-design centers. Absolutely flawless. The clear coat has been removed from the lip (cost $400 to remove) and has been buffed/polished to a high gloss mirror like shine. They come with new chrome valve stems and color Porsche crested center caps. They are ultra light staggered configuation in sizes:

19x8.5J 49 (offset?) weight 17 lbs.
19x10J 58 (offset?) weight 19 lbs.

The tires are new, never used, Pirelli P-Zero Rosso tires with the small red P-Zero emblem. Tires sizes are as follows:

(f) 235/35/19
(r) 275/30/19

They were mounted last week and are balanced, boxed and ready to be shipped. The exact size and weight of the tires and wheels mounted are as follows:

(f) diameter = 25 3/8" width = 9 5/8" weight = 40 lbs
(r) diameter = 25 3/4" width = 11.0" weight = 43 lbs

I had the wheels on my 2000 996, but have replaced them with OEM Cup wheels (just wanted to change things up a bit). Wheel and tire combination new is over $6,000 with taxes, mounting and balancing. Asking $3,900.

If interested PM me or feel free to call me at my cell (248) 835-3217.

Thanks,
Jeff
