Default Headlight Issue - Switch or Lamps?

On my 02 C4S, it'll sometimes take 3 or 4 turns of the dash headlamp switch to get the lights to turn on.

Anyone experience anything similar? Likely an issue with the switch itself or is there a common issue with the lights themselves that I need to be aware of?

And...how easy a job to replace the switch if that's necessary?

Thanks all.

Try removing your headlights and cleaning the contacts where the headlights plug in. The owner's manual describes how to do it.

I've got the same problem. Sometimes I can't get them on at all, so I run with parking and fog lights. I'm due for a 15k inspection and am still covered with warranty so I'll let the dealer take care of of it. Figured it was a switch.

Thanks all. Switch is $101.50 at Auto Parts Haus (Rennlist sponsor)...seems like a simple enough exercise to tackle, once the playoffs are over.
