One just sold last week on Ebay. I talked to EVOMS about used S/Cs and if the new owner doesn't get the ECU with the re-flash from the old owner, the charge is $1500 for the reflash.

yea i heard that too.. 1500 for a reflash? thats crazy huh?

I had the opportunity to buy a used 997 kit a few months back but opted to wait for a 996 kit. Less headache with the differences in parts.

I saw one on ebay for about $4500 not too long ago. I'd be too afraid to buy from there though. Going the member route seems a lot smarter. I also wondered about the reflash. That's expensive and I'm glad someone found out. If you could get out the door for $5k it would seem good but flashing plus odds and ends pushing you to $7k or $8k seems like a bad way to go vs new.

i called up motorsport and they told me that you will need about $2000 to make it work.... $1500 for the re-flash and $500 for misc parts........ whatever that is.....

The one for sale on Ebay was off an 03' Tip. EVOMS said there is no difference in the kit between a Tip and a Manual other than ECU programming.

You are a little late. It sold LAST week. If you want to see it, do an advanced search for completed items with "Porsche Supercharger".

So I've got to ask ... anyone tried this? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Porsc...QQcmdZViewItem

I can't believe that bolting a hairdryer onto the intake is going to have a positive effect!
