You should indicate if it is for a tip or manual as they are different. You can use a tip in a manual, but you can't use a manual in a tip.

Must be a secret 928 project.

I have both but I need them.

I'll keep an eye on ebay because I see them once in a while. If they are used the anti-rattle pins are usually broken,, but they work fine.

Wow - you ARE good!!! That's exactly the project, but it's not secret!! Going to try to install it in my GTS, as I really like that type wheel.
Please tell me more about the "anti-rattle pins", their function, and what that means if I put one on my car. THANKS.

The 2 pins go into holes in the back of the steering wheel to prevent rattles. The pins are broken on the unit in my Boxster but I do not hear any rattles.

When you slide a steering wheel back on the shaft you have to make sure these pins are going inside the holes or they get crushed and break off. Or if you remove the air bag and let it hang from the connector these pins will break.

So if these pins are important to you and you buy a used unit make sure they are not broken. But like I said, the unit will work fine with broken pins.

Thanks for the enlightenment. I now understand, and will be a bit more 'careful' in selecting the candidate clock spring.
Happy New Year.
