Default A New home for my Diecast PORSCHE's

After finally moving into my new digs, I had to find a place to display my somewhat-growing collection of 1:18 cars. As a live-alone guy, I did what any single guy would do, I turned the Butlers-pantry and the Island shelves into their new home. Who needs to display traditional things like glasses & plates and the like when you can show off your "car collection." in the kitchen.

Most are AutoArt which makes some really amazing AND expensive reproductions. I have a few more must-haves yet to go. If if outgrows my kitchen, I have more glass shelves waiting in my home office.

Hope you enjoy! They are quite cool if say, you happen to be into PORSCHE's

Nice...Great collection!!!!

I have about 300 of those 1/18 scale models in my house. Some are p-cars.

I guess you don't have small children. My 2yr old daughter would be grabbing them right off the shelf and playing demolishion derby.

Mmmmmm, I'm liking the models on show, but I'm thinking that this pretty much guarantees that you'll stay as a 'live-alone guy'.

Unless of course you find a Porsche enthusiast to date - then you're golden!

I've limited my model car collection to one shelf in the office, with wifey taking the other shelf for her vintage cameras.

Of course, my vintage Defender machine might be seen as extreme by some folks.....!!!!

Dude!
The lower level has a FULLY stocked wet bar, so I thought where better for the P-cars!!

I have the 3-in-1 Ms Pac Man/ Pac Man/ Gallaga machine on its way.

Hmm, maybe it should go in the Dining Room OR the Formal Living room.

Mmmmmmmm Gallaga......

Getting the 3 in 1 is cool, but it is cheating a little

This is how my Defender looked when I found it!

Having cars in a glass case is nice but not in the kitchen. Being a Porsche fanatic is one thing but this is too much. We make fun of the geeks collecting and even dressing like star-trek but your next woman won't make the difference.

Nice collection!!
