Default Thinking of selling my '04 C4S ....

My '04 996 C4S is under a year old, and I've been considering selling it. Not even sure what I'd do for a replacement, or if I would replace her at this point. The car is truly beautiful and incredible, virtually new and CPO'd until '09 with all of 1880 miles (yeah, not even broken in yet)on the odo, so it's one of the lowest mileage '04's in the US. Car's never seen rain (just washed before being Zaino'd regularly. Obviously, I drive it 'sparingly' ie. just on sunny weekends, which is clearly not what a 911 is for. Can you tell that I'm wrestling with this decision, and not sure what to do at this point? It's a nicely equipped car and with the modest mods I've done to it, ie. OEM SSK, 6 disc changer, clear bra, the MSRP is >$92K. Equipment is listed below. In today's market, what's a realistic price the car should fetch should I decide to sell? Can't even give you my rationale for selling, just that it's an expensive car begging to be driven, and it's not seeing the use it should. Needless to say, I value the input of my fellow Rennlisters.

I can provide more details and pics if you're interested in hearing more about the car.

Phil

If you dont mind me asking, WHY dont you drive the car? mine is a weekend toy also but I get to drive her at least 400 miles a month.. I think a fair price for your car is maybe mid-high 60's , by the way your car is awesome!!

Hold onto the car. You're going to get killed in depreciation if you sell. What's worse than only driving the car 1,800 miles in a year, losing $30k in depreciation.

If you want to use the money for something else, or you're bored and want another car, then it might be worth selling.

Try to drive more, take the car occasionally to work, drive more on the weekends, enjoy the car. I've had my 02 C4S for 5 months and I've only driven it about 2,500 miles. I need to drive more too.
I wouldn't sell mine (except maybe for a turbo).

Not sure what you guys are talking about, going price for his car will be close to $80k. Here are all the C4S's on Autotrader RIGHT NOW with under 10k miles. They range from like $75 to $88k

thats the asking price of a dealer.. private buyers might not pay that much for that car.. you could get a 997S for that kind of money..

A PORSCHE that new, with that low of miles, WILL COMMAND retail price, even if it's a private seller. All he has to do is take it to a dealer, pay to have it prepped, all services done and upon a PPI, that car IS retail.

You could also get a 993 C4S for that kind of money. That argument makes no sense.

993 C4S has a premium because people want it. Kind of like the 996 C4S. There is no 997 that looks like the 996 C4S.
