I had the dealer give my new-to-me '99 C2 Tip a PPI (in this case it was a post-purchase inspection). As I thought when I bought, it's in excellent shape all around. They found two things to watch, only one of which concerns me:
There is a leak around the "transmission pan gasket." There are no signs of transmission trouble other than that. Anyone have experience with this? Is it just a gasket that can be replaced without too much trouble, or does it foreshadow $$$ failure to the transmission itself?

pan gasket is minor, as long as thats what leaking, get it fixed if its leaking though tips brun up quickly when low on fluid.
The one to worry about is trans fluid leaking from bellhousing area, it signifys a bad pump seal, pump seals go bad as the pump starts to eat itself which = new tranny

I had my trans pan gasket replaced last month for the same reason. It was covered under the CPO.
I had them change the filter while they had it open.
