Default NR Auto Catalog in the Mail

... that I just received. Anybody know anything about these guys and their body kits? Here's a link to a Mk II-ish GT3 aero kit.
What do you think? NR Auto Link.

Russ,

NR Auto is not far from my home. I did visit them a couple of time. Most of their aero kits are FRP. Some kits do not fit good, because of fiberglass material. I actually know the co. that supply the kit to them. The kit is made to order, so if you buy expect to wait for awhile. If you lucky maybe some return parts in stock can be deliver to you fast.

Whoa! That good, eh? I was intrigued by the MKII kit that fits my '98 since the original won't. What's FRP stand for?

Russ,

They're the gents who made my GT2 Look front bumper. The Fiberglass needs to be professionally installed (something i didn't bother with cause its always getting beaten up on ) but in the end i think you should be pleased with the results. Karlooz on here has one as well.

In My Opinion, if you can get a poly urethan version of a kit, such as this GT3 MK2 style one, i would go with PU always. Fitment issues are much less and they flex a bit so they don't shatter when you hit something.

My 2 Cents

I had a set of their silver bezel instrument trim rings and thought the quality of the finish was poor. There was dirt or lint (fine) in the painted finish and I thought for the price they should be near perfect. Made in the Far East most likely for a few cents each and sold for over $100 here for the set. I sold them on Ebay. I don't know about their other items but I would be cautious.

OEM is Poly Urathane...flexible. FRP is not flexible. Pick OEM especially for bumper covers.

I agreed! Some of their items are low in quality. Fiberglass fitness is low and high in maintenance. OEM parts are good but pricey. Most reputable body shops will refuse to work with fiberglass. So you have to decide it for yourself. Ask a few bodyshops near you if they're willing to work with FRP and get quotes. Good luck!!!

If you read the page, the front bumper and sideskirts appear to be made of polyurethane.

http://www.nrauto.com/product_body.a...Porsche&type=2

I am guessing that the rear deck lid and spoiler are made from fiberglass.

If you get this, let me know. The price is very competitive but I do not want to deal with any fitment issues.

They do have Poly kits. But they're pricey. For the price I rather buy OEM.

Generally I'd agree, but unless I'm missing something, there is no OEM GT-3 MkII aero kit for pre '02 cars. Hence my interest. The Mk I kit is great looking, but I'm kinda inclined to go with the newer look of the Mk II. I'm not sure I like the mesh vents on top though.
