Default Winter prep question

After 14 great years in Florida I am now returning to Scandinavia where I am from. I will be bringing my 2000 C2 with me. I have been in the sun so long that I totally have forgotten what special prep I need to do for winter driving. I am using 0-40 Mobil one oil. I assume that will work well in cooler temperatures? What else should I get done? Appreciate any advice. Tom.

Check the mix of the coolant/antifreeze, make sure it's rated to the lowest temp you expect to see, and the mix ratio with water is correct.

A small float tool from pepboys for $5 will do the job.

Get your battery tested - cold will kill an old battery very quickly

Change the mix of your window wash to a higher concentration of washer fluid to water so it doesn't freeze on a cold screen

0W40 will be fine for oil

Hope that helps!

Chris.

cdodkin nailed it. I'll second the battery check - as temps take a dive here in Minnesota, I swapped out the original battery in my 2001 C4. Be sure you have your radio code first (grin).

Winter tires, low temp windshield fluid, and worth checking the antifreeze since you have been in FL all this time.
