Default Pics

So here are some pics of the wheels on my car. I've found that it's absolutely impossible to capture what they really look like in real life. They are just not photogenic, kinda like when you meet a hot chick at a bar and her pictures just don't do her justice. My impressions are mixed. Some were expected, others were not.

What I expected: 1. Harsher ride, more road noise. 2. No rubbing. In fact, they could use a bit more offset and wider tires. 3. Hard as HELL to clean.

What I didn't expect: 1. They look waaay better in real life than any pictures I've seen. 2. Weight-wise, the rears are a lb. lighter than stock, and the fronts are just about dead on. 3. The tires are a bit "stretched" over the wheels. In other words, they could use wider tires so that the sidewalls are more vertical. Some people prefer the stretched look, but my next set of tires will be wider.

Overall, great wheels.

Are you driving on your stock suspension?

No, I have a set of Bilstein PSS9's. I have been experimenting with the damper settings since installing the new wheels. I was at 3Front/2Rear on the stock wheels. I went one click softer all around, down to 4Front/3Rear. Feels much better on city streets and still stays flat through the turns.
