Depends on the county as well. Charlotte is in Mecklenburg which is notoriously difficult. I did receive a speeding ticket in Caberus county (county next to Mecklenburg) and if you have a clean driving record they will automatically change a speeding ticket in an equipment malfunction. Mecklenburg won't do this.

So, it's not only a State thing... county to county can be a night and day difference as well.
