I sold my 993 a couple of months back and have now picked up an '03 Speed Yellow 996! Really a nice upgrade for what I am looking for in a Porsche ( power, driving experience and comfort). I have been reading the posts on Rennlist and it has taught me a lot. Anyway, I just wanted to post a couple of pictures of my new car as is the custom. By way of options/upgrades they include:
Porsche Stability Management
Sport Seats w/Full Leather Int -
Xenon Headlamp Package
Graphite Full Leather
Lowered with H&R springs
Special Chassis Rigidly Tuned
Short shift kit
Flared Rocker Panels
Deviating carpet color
One question I do have is that I am considering putting on 17" wheels for daily driving. With this suspension and lowering, does anyone think that will create an issue?
Thanks,
Sundayrider

Let me be the first to welcome you to the wonderful 996 world... Just curious, why the 17's for daily driving??

Appreciate the welcome. Looking at 17s primarily to smooth the ride out a bit. On the 996s with 17 inch wheels that I drove the ride to me was notably smoother then those with 18 inch wheels. I know the M030 suspension and lowering also have an effect to make it a bit harsher. My commute is relatively straight and there are numerous potholes, expansion joints, etc. so anything to smooth that out would we welcome. I would keep the 18 inch wheels for a change of pace.

I appreciate all the Welcomes! I wasn't looking for Speed Yellow but when I saw and drove this one I was hooked. I was surprised how much I liked the Grey interior with the yellow accents. It is deviated Grey (graphite Grey with Natural Grey carpets) so it has some nice contrasts. Now to put on the aluminum gauge rings, aluminum pedals... (and on and on)....

Congrates and welcome. There aren't any problems with 17" wheels on the car. I use 17" wheels in the winter with no problems at all. The smaller wheels do smooth the ride out a little, with negligible effects on handling in normal daily street driving.
