Default My new "old" lift

I wanted to share some new pics taken in my garage this weekend. Friday Tim W. and I went with a Uhaul trailor and picked up a Low Rise lift. The guy put it on with a fork lift we got it off using egyptian pyramid tricks. A bit of scrubbing, Paint, New rubber pads and some fluid the lift is in the garage. Saturday was filled with a few set backs starting with the new hose breaking at the fitting. Luckily we found a Tractor shop that had the tools to make me a new hose. Later in the day the pump fell over when we moving the lift. The lever to let the lift down broken off. (See the replacement crest lever... MUCH Cooler) All in all the project was a ton of fun. I am so excited to have a lift it is going to come in handy! I found the lift on Craigs list for $400 it turned out to be a great deal.

Lift after Paint. (Spray can truck bed liner paint over Primer) Began it's life as a Rotary lift in Red.

Testing the lift out...

Lift after touch up and new rubber pads

Camo Cover the hose was an accident waiting to happen.

NICE Lift and great deal!... But with all honesty I must say that I am more impressed by your beautiful Turbo, cool garage setup and amazing rims.

Enjoy your fun projects with the lift!

Cheers.

Thanks for the shots. I've been thinking of a lift for my garage myself. This makes the decision allot easier.

Thanks guys! BTW we used the truck bedliner spray paint over primer it worked really well. I guess we will see how durable it is over time.

Sandoval - Great job with the lift. Do the 4 "lifting points" (or jacking points) on the car extend enough to keep from crushing the side skirts or do you slide something under each location Prior to raising the lift completely?

You haven't put "tags" on that beast yet? Is it a track only car ? I also noticed you have a lot of Sportec items on the car. The wheels look nice! Good job!

Gota - The pads will pick up the frame in the front but the rear it hits the skirts. So we used hockey pucks at the lift points. Sportec I have a few of their product LOL! Thanks for the compliments.

Steven You have to do some track lighting it make a huge difference.

Lanny Bring her over anytime! Oil changes will be a peice of cake!

Thanks for the compliments guys. My next project will be running additional power to the garage for the lift and my compressor. After that the garage is pretty much done.

the more I see the 997TT the more I'm conviced the 996TT will be a classic.
There is not a wrong curve on the whole car.
