Thank you to the members who recommended driving the car home rather than shipping! I have just made my first P-car purchase (03 Cab) and I am getting to know the car. I purchased a car from a dealer in New Hampshire and was thinking about having it shipped to Kansas City when I happened to read another post about a out of town purchases and there were several recommedations to spend the money to go see the car and then drive it home. So rather than have the car shipped my wife and I went to NH to buy the car and then spend 8 days driving in New England and eventually home. I have to say, I have never had a better time! What a thrill to drive your new car for a week around the most beautiful scenery anywhere! We had never spent any time in the Northeast so we really enjoyed Maine, Mass, Cape Cod, Penn. ..Altogether, 13 states. We missed the fall folliage but it was still amazing. All in all, a perfect way to buy your new car. When I got home, I had a friend who has a Turbo Cab and does some racing drive the car to check it out and I coulnt stop smiling! These things do perform! I know that a few pics are expected so here they are. Looking forward to afew mods. Any suggestions?

I'm going to buy a 996 soon. Maybe I'll suggest to my wife that I buy one out of town and we do the same. May have to anyway since they are not so abundant around here.
From your pics I can tell what a nice trip it must have been. Nice days, sun shining, but cool enough for a jacket, that's my kind of trip.

I'd say go easy with the mods. The cheapest and best looking quick mods are the clear side market lights. Under $50 for both and you can do it under 10 minutes both.
With the other "recommended mods", I'd HIGHLY recommend you just drive the car and take them as you feel necessary ! Its like splashing ketchup all over some "new food" before even tasting it once to know what you'd really like !
