Default Replacing Becker (Speaker wiring problem)

I want to replace my Becker CDR 220 with an XM-ready head unit. All that I have looked at state that they are not compatible with common-ground wired speaker systems. I assume my '01 Carrera Cab is wired that way since there is only a single wire out of the Becker, going to the four speaker locationss.

Does anyone have any experience with this dillema? I don't want to tear up the car in order to run the new plus-and-minus speaker wires all the way to the speakers.

Has anyone used either the Scosche SLC4 or the Soundgate PWR 1.4 "black boxes" to solve this problem??

TIA

Glad to see you visiting the forums, signing up as a member and welcome to our community. I would recommend you introduce yourself and post pics of your car before being chastised by this more than friendly group.
