Default Door Ding

Well I received a door ding on my front passanger fender last night. Ouch! I am still upset about it. It was a young girl w/her mother who did the damage. Too top it off the mother did not even acknowledge what here child had done. So upset. How easily are door dings removable? The ding is not that noticable. Anyone know of a place in Michigan? Should I file a police report and contact insurance.

I have used dent removal services with great results as long as the paint is not damaged. It's pretty amazing what they can get out.

I always wondered what to do in these cases...

Perhaps get her contact and send her the bill?

It'll be your word against hers if she denies it and says it was already there.

I use a "shoot on site" policy and just dump the bodies in any nearby wooded area. It's a great stress reliever too.

I have had dings removed from my c2 with no visible damage. They do it from the inside. My guy usually charges me about $30. a ding. Not worth getting the ins. co. involved. I would of asked the lady to write you a check for $50. to cover the ding or if no payment received kick the s--t out of her car. Next time she will be sure her kids watch how they open doors.

If I knew it was her for sure and she denies it or refuses to accept responsibility,
I'd swing my door out hard on her car, to give her not a ding, but a dent.

Revenge is sweet...sometimes you gotta be a redneck dealing with rednecks.

I would hope most people would admit fault if they're at the scene and you can prove their door swings right into the spot of the door ding. If they still don't admit it, perhaps CosmosC4S is right! I just wish there was something we could do to prevent people from damaging other people's property. It's just not fair for people who do damage (even if it's "just" a ding) to get away free and clear...most the time not even thinking they did something wrong.

Because it was dark in the parking lot I did not she the damage. But, my gut told me something was not write. Next time no 2nd guessing. Kicking the door in would have done justice. I am upset with the mother not the child. One guy at work told me the best revenge on someones car is to push down on their side mirror.

I take a cell photo of the cars next to me so if I get dinged I can go after them and prove they parked next to me.

Revenge isn't always a good idea.

If you are in southeast michigan, I use dynamic dents. Jason is good and economical.

PM me for contact info.
