Hi guys,

I got some wheels on order from iforged and after thinking about the wheel size that i had order, I'm a little worried that the fronts may be too small in width. Are 19x8.5 sufficient enough for the fronts? On my old M3, i had 19x10 rears and 19x9 in the fronts.

Should i go with 19x9 in the fronts?

The differential in widths between fronts and rears is 2"-3" for factory wheels (7's and 9's or 8's and 10's on narrowbody 996's and 8's and 11's I think on GT3's), so no, you don't need to go to a 9" front. You M3 has the engine in the front, your 996 doesn't.
If you post the offsets on these wheels you can get an answer as to whether they fit or not.

First 8.5/11.0 are the stock widths for a GT3. Keep in mind these are very rear end heavy cars and will have a lot more rubber out back versus a car like an M3 with a more even balance. I run a custom set of CCW 3-piece 18x9.0" fronts with 235/40's and 18x11.0" rears with 295/30's for race wheels with no problems. You can go with a 8.5" front wheel, but since you are having the wheels made I would suggest ordering the 9.0".

02 carrera, well if the stock widths for a gt3 are 8.5/11, then i think it would be safe to say that that's an ideal tire width for my car, correct? Plus i think it's kinda too late to change the order. I placed them about 2 1/2 weeks ago. They should be ready by the end of this month.

I ordered the Precision series essen in race gold. My car is a lapis blue, what do you guys think? I decided on the race gold cause silver is too plain, and black is ok with me, but race gold is unique and different. Here's a photoshopped pick of what it might look like. OF course the pick is of a turbo with techart front and turbo wing. I'm thinking about going the same route (tech front, either misha gt2 wing or turbo wing).
