I been looking at the sheetmetal on my 2000 Porsche 911 C2 and besides for the actual headlight unit and bumper cover it looks like all the other "major" sheetmetals are the same.

Has anyone done this conversion before and know if there are things I'm missing?

I am assuming that the headlights are just plug and play, and all I will need is a new bumper cover, 2 new 02+ headlights, and I'm ready to go.

You mean the right and left sheetmetal that go over the front wheels? Really? I thought they are the same as the 02-04 fenders...

no they are not...do a search...this has been discussed many times....

You'll need fenders, fender liners, headlights, headlight retainers, bumper, bumper retainer, and i think thats it...its a great upgrade, i'd go for it.

yes a fender is the piece of sheet metal that goes over the front wheels...

you may want to leave it to the pros if you don't know what a fender is...no offense, some people are just not car savvy.

Yeah, I know what a fender is. I was just in shock because I thought the fenders were identical, and looked identical to my friend's 02 C2.

Damn, sounds like this weekend project just got a lot bigger than I wanted it to. Thanks for all of your input and help though. Nice to be able to learn about this before I start taking things apart and buying parts.

You will also need wiring harnesses for the new headlights. new ones wont plug into the old wiring harnesses.

its called an '02 face lift" when you research it on the net. Check junkyards and Porsche dismantlers.
