no such thing for that model year...form 2002 and up there was a C4S which was a 4 wheel drive widebody couple (or cabrio if one wanted i believe).

the carrera S was not brought back untill the new 997 generation from 2005 and up.

The closest thing to what you want is the 996 with an X-51 kit.

40th aniversary would be a better buy then a 996 with or adding a x51

I may be mistaken but I coulda sworn a C4S has the same hp as the rest of the C2/C4 bunch...

There is no such thing as a Carrera S on the 996 Generation.

Even the carrera 4S has the same horsepower.

The X51 kit adds 25 horsepower, but is not represented on the model's name. only options list.

The best value in the 996 Generation besides the turbo and GT3 is probably the Anniversary edition.

x51 is redicules, how many x51s are there, ive only seen 2 factory installed and only heard of one being added, its alot of $$$$ for minor gains. 40ths are nice.
As far as maitnace between a n/a 996 or a turbo, Althought the services and repairs on turbos are slightly higher, the engines have far fewer issues and failures may be cheaper in the long run
