Default Airbrush paint chips

Has anyone else tried this?

I spent all yesterday trying different methods. I tried the toothpick, paint brush from the sample paint, paint brush from art store that I cut down.

None of these worked well, at least not for me.

I went to the hobby store and bought an airbrush kit for $30 it came with everything I needed, I figured that I would not need the type that runs off a compressor being that I will probably only use it a couple times a year. It comes with a can of compresses air and if you run out you can hook it up to your tire and use the air from that.

It works well for me and I will have to write a how-to with pictures after I get a little more practice with it.

I found that I get an even layer with no bumps in it; also it works well for really big chips.

Some detail shops will do airbrush paint chip repair and I've had good luck with it in the past. I saw more of it when I lived in CA. Seems to be less prevalent here on the east coast.
