Default N00b question: where can I find the paint color code?

The title says it all.
I want to order some touch-up paint, but I'm not sure where to locate the color code for my '01 C4 Coupe.
Anyone?

Thanks.

Should be on the data sheet usually glued to the under-side of the front hood.

Speaking of which, is the Porsche paint code numeric or alpha? I checked the under-hood sticker, and the code that matches up seems to be 'AS'. Is that the paint code which stands for arctic silver?

Why can't I find the color of my car listed, or is it called some
oddball name that I don't recognize.
The seller called it "gold"....it looks more "champagne" to me.

ZX9RCAM - You can look on BumperPlugs.com site. Click on COLORS twrard the top of the screen. You could also PM Eric and he could probably ID your color. He will need the model year of your car. ANother option would be to go to AutoVisuals.com and do a search on your year to see if your color "name" is listed. You might be able to cross reference it from the paint code.

ZX9RCAM, if your paint code is L555/L554, then it's called Paladio Metallic. I've seen it called by other names, but I can't think of them right now. That's the color of my MY00 Cab.

Thanks guys,

It's a 1999.....I'll look at the paint code tonight when I get home, I never knew
where to look for it either.
