I use this hoist sold through Performance Products:

I like the design because it doesn't put a lot of pressure on the hardtop seals. But the enamel covered metal hooks can scratch your paint if you are not careful.

I built one, using an industrial winch (with anti-slip ratcheting action), with 5X the lifting capacity, for 1/5 the price of the commercial. Of course, my open ceiling (exposed trusses) allowed me to get creative, and add extra bracing to mount the winch. I used 2 1/2" PVC, which has a larger radius than the aluminum pipe cradle that I've seen (more surface contact, less lbs. sq./in.) I also use nylon ratchet straps as a safety, since I wouldn't trust one of the commercial top hoists alone, either.
The downside of my install- I have to get on a ladder to use the crank on the winch. But if I only do that twice a year, who cares? I'll eventually post some pics. It's not pretty, but it's heavy-duty.
