Default OT gutter cover, good or bad?

my house in NJ. cleaned gutter today. the guy told me i need guter screen. but the home inspector i talked to while closing said guter screen is no good.
what he suggested:



any idea?
BTW, can i step on my roof?in case i need to clean my gutter? 2-story colonial home just built.

In an area where leaves and things can clog your gutters, it is a good idea to put screens or something over the top that lets the water in, but keeps the junk out. Plugged gutters can cause a lot of damage if not corrected. Water leaks in the house and water pooling near the foundation becuase it is not moving away from the house properly can cost lots of $$.

If you have a tile roof - try not to walk on it. If it is slate, DO NOT walk on it. If it is composite or asphault shingle, walk away.

PL.. Run like crazy from that product. To cross-thread here the old topic about "our occupation", I run a nationally-based home services franchise that happens to include Gutter Protection as one of our services. I think we have probably the most ingenious AND effective product in existence. Let me know what city/ state you are in.
