I'm still a bit confused by the title of your post. Why is the 996C4S not considered a 'wet' 911?
I have always called any 9x6/9x7 a 'wet' motor, since they are water pumpers; the 911, 964 and 993 I normally hear call 'dry' motors since they are 'air' cooled (OK, actually oil cooled).
