Maybe next week. Friday afternoon math is never accurate.
Hmmm... I could also use some Ultimat Vodka just about now!

(And apologies Gant... don't mean to steal the thunder in your thread... I'll have a Vodka tonic in your honor for sure)

Let me know when your check clears. I'm looking for a rolling flood car for the track and am prepared to offer them $1000 for their piece of crap. Between you and me, I am negotiable. Wow, what a series of threads. Get your check cashed first!!!

Yes, ensure the cheque clears . . . wait a few days . . . then send by registered mail and to the attorney general in tx.

Riad is right, grammatical or spelling errors do not improve a letter writer's credibility.

BTW, beautiful C4S you picked up. Enjoy.

Oh, yeah and get you and your C4S to the track to TRULY appreciate the capability of the Porsche (assuming you haven't already). Even if you did fabricate this whole story as some have suggested, it would be even greater your talent to weave such a wicked web. Either way, you win :-).

Just an FYI, here in Texas, there is a statutory cause of action for Deceptive Trade Practices. As I recall, part of the damages allowed includes attorneys fees. There are some other benefits to plaintiffs under the deceptive trade practices act as well, such as actual damages and exemplary damages. For example, you may be able to recover for any out of pocket for CPO's, transportation of the car, gas, etc. etc.

I don't know if you have an attorney barred in Texas, but if so, you should look into that attorney bringing an action on your behalf to recover everything you lost - AND the ATTORNEYS FEES you had to pay. I think there is also some ability to get ENHANCED DAMAGES for willful fraudulent actions - so you should keep printed records of everything (including the new add with the same car advertised with no notice of flood damage).

Did he get the money back or not? This saga is spread over several threads and it's hard to keep up.

Got a check, still not cleared. Money back plus $450 for air-fare, $130 for gas.
