Hello all,
I'm new to the forums. I have a 2001 Carrera with 37K Miles that's pre-owned certified. I took the car in for some new tires and alignment recently and the techs noticed some leaking. Porsche ended up replacing the RMS and bolts. I was told the new 997 kit would repair this for good. Is this true? By the way the Michelin Sports are a huge step up from the Asymetricos.

Should work fine as long as they used the new installation tool (which I'm sure they did at the dealer). Check to be sure they referenced the 997 part number on the repair order and you should be good to go

I got RMS leak @ 7000 miles now I'm at 12K miles and so far so good. RMS seal was replaced with the new "Cayenne" type seal and new tool (Oct '05). So far so good. I'm sure your car will be fine just as well so no need to panic. Just get it done and you should be fine.
Best!
