Default SNOW TIRES

I know many are not thinking about this yet, but are the dunlop M2 still available? Didn't see them at tirerack in 255/40/17. I still have two good front ones.

Thanks

I was doing a pre-emptive winter tire search...found nothing on tirerack .

There is a guy selling a used set on Ebay in the Chicago area...if that helps.

thanks,
Amir

I think the best time to look is around September, but order them as soon as you see them or they sell out quickly.

I use Dunlop Wintersport M2's on my wife's car. I had to replace two last year. According to Tirerack last year the M2 had been discontinued and was beening replaced with the M3. Since I could not get the M2's I utilized two M2's and two M3's last winter with no problem. According to Tirerack mixing the M2 and M3 is not a problem because of the similar construction and grip levels, they just recommended having the axles the same.

You should have no problems mixing M2's with the M3's until you can have all M3's.

In daily driving duties I could tell no difference. The tread pattern is just slightly different.
