Looking for a 996...

We seem to have strayed from topic and circumnavigated the world.
I guess the volume of 996's for sale and their low values has people avoiding the topic of cars for sale!
I am not deterred...the hunt continues!

I'm looking to move fairly quickly so all leads appreciated. I'd prefer to buy from an individual unless a dealer can provde a CPO.
What am I looking for?
I'm looking for a low-mileage, one or two owner coupe that has all service records from new. Absolutely no paint or accident history. Manual is preferred but tip is okay if the price is right.
Lighter colors are preferred but will consider any color if the car is right.
Model Years? I'm open to all
Pricing: Depending on year and options, I'd be looking to spend between $30K for a 1999 to mid-$40k's for a 2002 or even 2003 model.
Yes, I know, I'm covering a broad spectrum here. Condition and history is the biggest consideration!
Thanks!

I have only known of 1 03' in the range you were looking. This was a 03' Carrera at Baillargeon Audi. The car was rough at best. It had $51K on it when I drove it last year. It doesn't pull very hard (it is weaker than most 3.4's), had a bad pressure plate in the clutch and the interior was fairly rough. I figured it pretty much got ditched as soon as the warranty was up. The last time I looked, they were asking in the $42K range for that car. By comparison, the best deal you will find on with an 03' with even average miles from a wholesaler will be around $50K.

Thanks for the input, 02 Carrera.
So far I'm seeing cars all over the price and condition spectrum. I didn't realize that there were so many 996's on the market!

Billh,
I am in your shoes as well. My price range is from high 36-50K. Looking for a 996 C2 from 99-2002 in mint condition. I am still trying to learn more about Pcars in general. I owned 2 modified e36 M3s and decided it's time to get a lighter car with more power for the track. Do you know if there is a FAQ sites for the 996 cars and what types of mods are available for them..
TIA,
Tony
