I think you should go with Chrome since chrome would bring the Carrera4 emblem, clear wing light, etc.. together. Have the bumperettes painted instead.

Now for my C2, I think it would look great with my Carrera emblem and Black paint color.

I thought Delaware was the only state with black license plates.

evansaero, any idea how much the tips weigh in comparison w/the stock tips? Did you end up keeping the black ones?

I think they would look good with black wheels. But I will agree, go chrome.

I would say the tips don't weigh anymore than the stock tips.

I did go back to the stock tips and painted them black. I really do like the look of the black tips.IMO Not a fan of chrome wheels and same goes for tips. Just not a big fan of chrome.

I removed the Schnell tips as there was not a good seal and when I let off the gas I got an exhaust note that sounded like a 4 banging rice burner. Lost $300 on that deal.

If you what the duel tips I will give them to you for free, just pay for the shipping, but there is one catch...

You will have to become a paying member of rennlist.

What kind of prep and type of paint did you use on the tips? I am thinkng black tips would look good on my TT or at least better then the sort of golden hued chrome I have on there now!

My old ones were in bad shape. So I use a dremel to remove all the rust and corrosion from the tips. Then I used the dremel to rough up the surface, then primed (make sure all coats are very light), then use high performance enamel spray paint (couple coats).

It has held up very well. The paint has not chipped or flaked. The hole process was worth it after blowing money on tip that didn't work for me.
