Sold My 996 - The Next Step...
Well I finally sold the supercharged monster. I got about what I wanted for it and it is going to a new home in Colorado. Just wanted to say thank you to all the Carrera guys in this section for making the almost 2 years I have been involved a really fun time, great learning experience, and to those I got to know and talk to...thank you again!
I will still be here promoting Vivid, products, helping with advice, life, and whatever else I interject in.
So...
I got that turbo. I went with the total AHole Yellow color. Smoken deal, local, full carbon interior, 17K miles, and 1 owner who did nothing to the car. So it is a perfect platform for me to give it a good solid raping! I already got it planned out. So stay tuned for build updates and new products and photoshoots at www.vividracing.com.
2 things... First what are your thoughts on the mods to do. Second. Who wants to buy those chrome turbo wheels with brand new Michelin tires on them???
Here are some pics!

Congrats on the new purchase Dan. It is obviously an 01' (no glove box or Bose). My suggestions for a start would be an X73 suspension, GT2 sway bars and a Stage 4 upgrade (Intake, diverter valves, headers, exhaust, upgraded turbos and reprogrammed ECU). Since you are now an Upsolute dealer, a Stage 2+ Upsolute program works good with hybrid turbos (K16's modified with new wheels). This setup is good for about 525 hp at the wheels (600hp flywheel) with still great spoolup. Drive that for a while and then go to the next step: upgraded intercoolers, hard pipes and GT series turbos. For wheels, I would probably go with a set of CCW classic 3-piece street wheels in 18x9.0"/18x12.0" with the black annodized centers (chrome lips and center caps). This would really give it a tough look.
