Hardtop hoist
It's almost time to take off the hardtop here in CA. Anyone have any input regarding a ceiling mounted hardtop hoist? Who makes the best one? Can I put a cover on the hard top prior to hoisting it? Is a cover even necessary?
Thanks in advance. <img border="0" alt="[bigbye]" title="" src="graemlins/xyxwave.gif" />

I did a little research on this last year. the one that Performance Products sells (manual hoist for about $185) had the best "pickup points to protect the edges of the hardtop. Also learned that the pickup points kept the top from warping as it hung thru the winter.
so I bought one, but haven't set it up yet. Up here on the Cape we're good with the hardtop until mid April when the jerks who put the million tons of salt on the roads decide to wash it off.
Anyway,it's in PP's catalog....may even show on line <a href="http://www.performance" target="_blank">www.performance</a> products.com
