Default TIre sizes

What is the widest 18" tire I can fit on the rear of a '04 996 C-2 with PSS9's? I'm using MPSC's and have to decide between a 295x30 and 315x30. I don't mind rolling fenders but I don't want to have to highly modify the car.

Personally I would stick with the 295 but then again it really depends as well as to what you are running up front as well as what you like the car to do under various steering stressors. I like the 235/295 combo but it really depends on how much understeer you want to introduce.

After some consultation, I have found that most think, like you, that the 235/295 combo is the best. With all the suspension work I have done, I can dial the balance fairly well so shouldn't have to worry about understeer.
