Post evo6 vs C4S

I was on the traffic light when an evo6 came next to me, he was so happy to see me and i was so cool until the lights turned to green and

1st gear evo 996
2nd gear evo 996
3rd gear evo 996
4th gear evo <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="eek.gif" /> 996 <img border="0" alt="[bigbye]" title="" src="graemlins/xyxwave.gif" />
.
.
6th gear i couldn't see him anymore !

Just wondering why can't Porsche match the fast kick of these cars?

Fadz, are you saying the Evo was ahead at first, but you caught up and passed him? When you couldn't see him, was it because he was way ahead or way behind?

Fadz-did you win or lose? Your post is confusing or else I'm really dense today. Regards. Mike. EVO 6-older version? or Evo 8?

Are you sure he was still racing you? He might have lifted off the throttle after making his point.

Sorry Adreal, i was surprized when i saw my avatar and i replaced it with a smaller one.

Ken, you're right but he was way behind when i shifted to fifth gear.

It was an EVO6 not EVO8

18000rpm, i was passing by him smoothly @ 4th gear , does this mean that he might have lifted off the throttle.

tnx Andreas

If the Evo is Stock then it has a Fuel cut off @ 200Km/h .... and Yes the Evo is a Powerfull car .. honestly .. but dont say am lieing because i use to have one which i bought to Abuse and hard drive it .. a Drag race with a 996TT releasing the clutch from over 8,000RPM !!! i was able to jump in font of the TT gear one and Two but i had to replace the clutch plate like each month

Btw fadz, something i dont want you to get shocked of .. here in UAE there is a tiny car young men buy it for 2,000 dollars its a toyota starlet a small hunchback and they spend littile $$ to modify the air intake for the turbo and intercooler .. this car is able to pass an MB SL500 till 200 km/h !!! yes .. i saw it with my own eyes
those are the 4 cylinder Turbo littile monsters just try to avoid them

For $40,000 the Brittish company Tiger Racing makes another version of the classic Lotus Seven just like Caterham. Its called the Z100 and has with TWIN Kawa ZX9R engines with 304HP at 11,000RPM! total, with TWO separate sequential gearboxes (6-speed) for each engine and keeping the weight to 560Kg.

0-60 in 3.1 secs!! (faster than a McLAren F1)
0-160km/h faster than a Pagani Zonda if you install a T/C because I heard it spins the tires in 5 gear under full throttle

But its best asset is not acceleration, its curve speed, due to its weight and race chasis/suspensions it will outhandle anything. The less powerful version of Caterhamm, the 500R, lapped the ring faster than a GT3 with just 230HP and with the enormour handicap of a drag of 0.7!

Makes a nice toy if you have the money to burn

Khalid, is it the red starlet you're talking about with 6inch exhaust tips.

One more thing if there is no fuel cut off where can it go with a 996? good question Carlos, you never comment on the EVO? any experience with EVOs? did you get your GSX 2003? send us pictures if you did

Waz, i am waiting for you.... Iraq war is over!

But I think it lacks the finess and balance of the 996, the versatility, the finish and build quiality, the reliability, looks (especially a C4S like yours), etc. For the price its an incredible bang for the buck though.

But I'm getting the first one that arrives here, so looks like I'll be "flying" one in two weeks <img border="0" alt="[jumper]" title="" src="graemlins/jumper.gif" /> Apparently they look very impressive in person Can't wait to experience this bike.

Fadz, no i dont mean a specific starlet but there are many of them, specially in the poor sides of UAE, (Ajman, Umelquwain) and yes there are many other modified japanes car for example Nissan patrol 4800 modified with a turbo. a friend of mine has this car which as he say delivers over 600HP he was able to pass a lumina SS (5.7 liter) so easy which means able to bass a Carrera (i think so ) so you better watch out and think twice before racing with those people who burn their money under cheap cheap Japanese car hoods
