Default C4 Pricing Question

The Werewife found a 2001 C4 coupe with under 40,000 miles, 18" wheels, a 6-speed, a painted console and new-ish tires for an asking price of $41k.

Two questions:
1) Is that a good price?

2) Am I asking for touble with the all-wheel drive system from a maintenance standpoint? I have a Jeep Overland with QuadraTrack and I have had Zero problems with it and it is a great thing for driving in Florida's monsoon season.

Yes, I will get a PPI and there is the potential for CPO for an additional $2,000.

What do you think?

By the way, I realize the warrranty won't be CPO, and the car, at 36,000 miles on the odometer, has had what they are calling a 40,000 mile service"

It seems reasonable. I would try to get more info on the full service history. 30K is a major service. 40K is probably just an oil change. If the car has been properly maintained all along then I don't think the all wheel drive would be any more of a maintenance concern than a C2.

I have a C4 and of all the problems I have had, the AWD system has not been one of them. It is very solid and makes the car handle great. Sounds like a great price to me if PPI checks out.

Werewife huh? That is funny.
